Why hello there ;D. It's been a good long while since I posted on the CF forum. Tielan and Helshad were in touch over on Tribes of the North for a while now, so I figured I'll pay you a visit too and talk about the upcoming Festival.

If you don't know those events, here's a quick summary. They are big, quarterly social events based on the Celtic/Gaelic festivals marking the passing of seasons. There are four of them - Beltane, Lunastal/Lughansadh, Samhain and Imbolc. They usually have some lore part in them, but mostly it's about social RP, contests, races and that sort of thing.

In the past they've been organized by Clan Koragg with help of other guilds, with the notable exception of last Samhain, organized by Akselvee from CF. The Festival upcoming on the 1st of August is, in a way, a bit special. It's the third time we'll have a Lunastal event, as that was the very first Festival event we did, back in 2008.

It seems to that as our RP war is, most likely, coming to a close it'd be a good idea if we once again worked on this event together, like we did with with Imbolc in 2009 (with Tyrnan notably running the riddle contest). Now, there's a certain way I always ran the Festivals, with the lore part being very light to say the least, and focus placed on races and contests of every kind. However, we still have almost 2 weeks to go before the event and there's no reason why it couldn't be done very differently this time. After all it's been over 2 years now, could be the Festivals need a breath of fresh air.

Well, anyway, all suggestions and ideas are welcome. If you'd like we could have a representative of CF working on the event alongside me as co-organizer, or you could just take charge of specific parts of the event that are of interest to you. I'd be happy to help either way. Only small practical problem I have is that I'm on holiday 24th July to 31st July and won't be ingame at all during that time, though I'll have access to the net so I can still troll forums and send pm's etc etc

Well, the event has always been fun as far as I am conserned... so sure we could take part... only trouble is I am still on vacation at that time and cant guarantee my online time... (its been shaky to say the least so far)...

As for the IC war its not settled yet but I guess we will have in 2 weeks time... ^^ Unless something radically changes... hehehe IC that is...

I´ll read up on the festival tomorrow when I am out at my fathers place and see if there is some parts we could deal with...

HI dude i think i remember this event it was one of the first i went to when my main was called Hobag that was a good event i am sure it was the one about a fresh start and it was meo i think and you saying some words then we got naked and jumped into the lake

Hey guys, not to pressure you or anything, but if you're going to get involved I'd need to hear from you ASAP - the event is in a week.

If there's anything I can help with on the day, any of the events, that will not need planning in-game during the coming week, then I'll be glad to help out wherever need it.

I'm off on holiday for a week tomorrow, back on Saturday 31st July. I should have some forum-internet access during the week, but not in-game time.

Maybe Fearghals could organise some kind of treasure hunt, sending people for items that drop from the vanir and the mobs in Connall's valley? That doesn't need too much pre-planning, apart from knowing what things drop?

sorry for not replying on this but my time is shaky online to say the least during my vacation... I cant guarantee that I will be online at the time this goes down... *sighs*

Thus I cant promise I can participate myself... but I will try to be there if I manage to get online...
